Founded in 1952, the 49ers Chorus is a wonderful group of welcoming people who enjoy singing and learning excellent choral repertoire and performing at the highest level. Under the leadership of its Music Director, Lyndsey Holmes, the 49ers Chorus invites you to share a musical experience that will be fun and fulfilling.

A word from our Director – Lyndsey Holmes
“The 49ers motto of “Harmony. Humor. Heart” resonates with my approach to music. I strive for musical excellence in all of the ensembles I lead, knowing that when singers create balanced harmony there’s a physical effect; you can feel it in the room. But it’s important to also remember the joy that comes from making music together; you need to allow space for laughter in both rehearsals and performances. And I value the emotional connection that music can create between singers and audiences; it goes beyond the melody and lyrics.
We bring Harmony, Humor and Heart to all of our performances. We aim for our audiences to experience beautiful music, enjoy some laughs and feel the power of music sung from the heart.“
